Serve Christ, Show Love, Share Faith
Birkenhead Priory Parish
Worship & Community
We are a friendly church community and all are welcome to our worship and to our various activities.
Christ the King is located between Beckwith Street and St. Anne Street. We are near Birkenhead Park Station. Some people will know the building as St. Anne's but it was renamed in 1991 after extensive alterations and became Christ the King.
Sunday Service at Christ The King
10:30 Morning Worship with Holy Communion.
(1st to 4th Sunday of the month)
Birkenhead Priory Chapel
10:30 Services at the Priory are held on the 5th Sunday of the month.
(and also on special festivals e.g. mid week during Lent,
Good Friday and Easter Eve)
The Priory Chapel, which is the original Chapter House, can be found on the site of Birkenhead Priory.
Baptisms, Marriages & Funerals
These are conducted at both places of worship.
Messy Sunday usually takes place on the 1st Sunday of the month although some months we may have to change it, so please check with us. We begin at 4pm with lots of craft activities and sometimes games. We have a lot of fun and make a lot of mess. There is always a Bible theme. We then stop for 15 mins of worship before we enjoy a yummy tea of toast and cake. Children must bring an adult with them or lots of adults can come with them and adults can bring more than one child so families can come together or children can bring a friend.
